On Ice Goaltending School

On Ice! students come in a wide range of size and skills. We have trained the 5 year old tyke to the NHL pro and every level in between. Over a 1 year period we will see over 1000 different goalies. In a week we will run on average 100 goalie lessons at almost every level. You can choose from a wide variety of programs to suit your needs and skill level.

All the students on this page have trained with On Ice! at least 10 times and most are still training weekly.

Cameron Talbot

Cam has been training with us since his minor hockey days. He excelled at the junior level with the Hamilton Red Wings, at the university level with the University of Alabama-Huntsville, and now hopes to have a long productive career in the NHL, signing with the New York Rangers.

Dan Turple

Dan has been training with On Ice! since he was 16. Drafted by Kingston, and playing with Oshawa and Kitchener, Dan finished his junior career with a 2.66 GAA and .915 SV%. He was our first goalie drafted to the NHL, 186th overall by the Atlanta Thrashers in 2004. Dan played with Gwinnett in the ECHL, as well as Grand Rapids and Chicago of the AHL before getting a call up to the Thrashers in March of 2009. Dan finished his pro career with a 3.22 GAA and .893 SV%.

Mike Minard

Mike trained with Matt Clark and On Ice! between 2002 and 2007, during his time playing in the AHL, ECHL, CHL and EIHL.

Ryan started training with On Ice! from his first year with the Plymouth Whalers of the OHL. Ryan spent last season with the Kalamazoo Wings of he ECHL.

Mark Visentin

Selected 27th overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Mark is the first On Ice! goalie to be drafted to the OHL, and the 2nd into the NHL. Mark started training when he was 8 and has excelled at every level. He is currently the starting goalie for the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL, and was named to the 2011 Team Canada World Junior Championship team. in 2011, Mark was named a 1st team All Star and OHL Goaltender of the Year

Jamie Phillips

Jamie began his training with On Ice! as a young, short 8 year old, and has grown into a 6'3 monster of a goalie. He excelled at the AAA levels in Welland and St. Catharines before being drafted in the 4th round by the Sarnia Sting in the 2009 OHL Selection Draft. Jamie has been a well sought after prospect from OHL teams, however his goal is to play university hockey south of the border. Jamie and the Pembroke Lumber Kings were the best Provincial Jr. A team in Canada this past season, winning their CCHL league championship, the Fred page Cup and RBC Cup National Championship.

Clint Windsor

Clint has been a student at On Ice! from his minor hockey days, getting drafted to the Barrie Colts of the OHL in the 4th round of the 2009 selection draft. Currently Clint is playing with Barrie, and recorded his first OHL victory with a 5-2 win over Niagara on Oct 23rd, 2010.

Blake Richard

Blake began his training at On Ice! as a 12 year old Rep goalie, and has grown into a stud prospect, being taken in the 11th round of the 2010 OHL Selection Draft by the Kingston Frontenacs. Blake saw his first OHL game action on Dec 29, 2010 against the Ottawa 67's.

Corey Foster

Corey is the most recent OHL draft pick to come out of On Ice!. Selected in the 4th round by the Erie Otters, Corey has been a solidly consistent AA and AAA goalie with the Hamilton Reps and Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs. In 2011 with the Bulldgos, Corey posted a 2.16 GAA and a.905 SV%, along with 5 shutouts.

Paul Schonfelder

Paul trained at On Ice! with Pat Dipronio from 1999-2003, just as his junior career was winding down before he turned pro. Paul had stints in the AHL, ECH,CHL, UHL and SPHL.
